About the Seminar

On November 12, 2009, a diverse group of over 260 men and women representing more than 80 churches and organizations of various sizes and denominations from 21 cities gathered to hear George Barna address the question: Why don’t Houston Christians go to church? Mr. Barna presented the findings from the study commissioned by the Houston Coalition of Church Communicators. The seminar took place in the Chapel at Houston’s First Baptist Church and began with a time of worship through music, including “God Of This City” by Chris Tomlin—an appropriate song as believers from throughout the region gathered to glorify Him and to learn how to extend His kingdom.
